I really wanted to keep this updated, but I've been super busy!
I can't believe the summer is over already and we're into the last half of the year! It's gone by so quickly. This year so far has been a roller coaster ride and I'm trying my best to stay on track. School has been pretty chill. Finally did well in all my classes and stayed focus all the way through. Those that know me personally know that this is a great personal feat of mine.
This summer I was able to spend a vacation with my family on the east coast of the U.S. I seriously love NYC. The fast paced life style is one of a kind and I LOVE using the public transportation. You get to just take the ride, chill, and listen to your iPod. Dope times with the fam fsho! and P.S. To you philly heads ... Geno's > Pat's
Performed and had projects for some pretty big events. I had my first Carnival set on August 26th, which was a collabo with Jun Quemado. Had some dope dancers involved in it such as:
Ellen Kim - Lost Kids
Janene Garner - Lost Kids
Julio Morales - Lost Kids
Rocko Luciano - Boxcuttahs
Tracy Seiler - Cookies
Darryl Belarmino - Formerly FORMALity
Krystal Meraz - Lost Kids
Dom Byrd - Cookies
Heather Lee - Neverland
Myself and Jun Quemado
Such a dope experience and I hope to have my own set in Carnival sometime soon! :]
On September 6th I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to have my own project in a show for the Make A Wish Foundation presented by Outreach Through Dance. This show was AMAZING. It probably was the most rewarding show I have ever participated in as a dancer. My project was a tribute to my lost family members within the past year. To my Grandpa and to my cousin Kara Franco. It was such a blessing to be able to pay homage to them and pay my respects. What made it even more meaningful was that a majority of my family was able to witness and share the experience with me, and the cast also consisted of dancers that I have been working with since I began as a dancer. The OTD show was probably the highlight of my dance career. I try my best to thank God everyday for blessing me with the ability to express myself through such an outlet.
Starting The end of October, I'm going to be traveling to teach again. Hopefully I'll end up somewhere near YOU! I'll stay updated on my next destinations..
I felt like I had so much more to say, but this ended up getting pretty lengthy already anyway. I'll update with pictures and stuff later. Till next time!
